There's lots to do in the South Fork of Bishop Creek.

0DSC01307 Fishing - You can fish from shore or a boat at South Lake, wade and fly fish in Weir Lake or work the banks of Bishop Creek. All of these areas are regularly stocked with fish.

Camping - There are five U.S. Forest Service campgrounds in the canyon, as well as private camping at Creekside RV Park and Parcher's Resort.

Biking - Ride your mountain bike down the old South Lake Road or do a major hill climb on your road bike up the canyon on the main paved road.

Hiking - Many fantastic day hikes and backpacking trips can be done in this area. A very nice and easy day hike is to go from the South Lake Trailhead down to Parcher's Resort (a piece of pie at Parcher's is the perfect end to the hike!) .

Horseback Riding - You can do a short ride or go on a week long pack trip into the backcountry with Rainbow Pack Outfitters.

Rock Climbing - Lots of front and back country climbing possibilities such as Mount Goode and the Wildrose Buttress.
